Heart Beats

May is Stroke and Heart Awareness month. Today, in conjunction with the American Stroke and Heart Association, I hosted a breakfast for the members of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus and the Texas Senate Black Caucus. I wanted to provide a forum for my fellow colleagues to learn about the risk that African-Americans are at concerning Stroke and Heart Disease.
